This graceful slim B & W monograph depicts a small 1962 summer house designed by the highly respected but little known Swedish architect Axel Kandell (1916—2003). Located in the Stockholm Archipelago, the ‘Master Carpenter’s Cabin’ captures the essence of Kandell's limited but meticulous architecture. The book includes an essay by Johan Örn exploring the history, the context and the aesthetics of the cabin.

Beautifully illustrated with original drawings by Axel Kandell, + photographs by the distinguished Swedish photographer Pål-Nils Nilsson.
