The Kahn lectures, a book that no one else would or could have done–the Wright designed cover, printed beautifully and directly on the boards, the elegant typography, the grace of space and design. The students came to these lectures, lectures from a man published with more honor in Europe than in his own country, lectures signaling a new age, a living present against the dead past.
